Artifacts

The items in the Museum's Collections are not all on permanent display. They are kept in storage rooms and are brought out occasionally to revamp the permanent collection or to produce thematic exhibitions.

The number of items is estimated at more than 15 000, and are divided into three large categories as follows:

  • Textiles and costumes: 8 000
  • Cultural heritage artifacts: 7 000
  • Visual arts: 400
