Ginette Desrochers presents an autobiographic work of art. Her paintings are emotional illustrations and particularly striking sequences of her life. She finds inspiration in various subjects but particularly in nature, from her voyages and everyday things. “Nature has always amazed me: boats make me dream, sheep shearing in the fall, picking berries with my father who told me about the perfection of a blade of grass and birdsongs. These are the sweet memories of my childhood” she declares. The purpose of her approach is to show the beauty of life, the positive side which helps us in our journey.
Retired teacher, Ginette Desrochers possesses a certificate in visual arts from the UQAM. She participated in many collective and solo exhibits. Her work, often published, obtained many distinctions and awards like 1st Mention at the Exhibition-Contest at the Maison Melançon of Candiac in 2011.
